FAQ SUPPORT

What is the processing time for tune files?

Tune file Processing Time: Up to 24-48 hour turn around during regular business hours

What to do once I receive my EFI Live AutoCal?

Upon receiving your EFI Live AutoCal, you need to provide us with the serial number located on the back of your device. To initiate the tune writing process, we require the serial number. Kindly allow 24-48 business hours for us to create the tune file. Failure to provide us with the serial number will lead to delays.

What to do once I receive my EZ Lynk Auto Agent?

After acquiring the EZ Lynk auto agent, you need to download the app, create an account, and link the truck using the email 'ezlynk@catuning.ca'. We will then be able to see you've linked your truck on our side and create the tune file. Once the file is ready, we will upload it and link it to your account, allowing you to access it and flash your truck.

Do you offer Free Lifetime Revision?

We do not provide free lifetime revisions. We will
consistently assist and support our customers, but creating custom tune files
requires time, and we have many clients. If we personally crafted all our
clients files and provided complimentary revisions, we would be incredibly
occupied making changes for no compensation, simply so customers could
"experiment" with something. We wouldn’t have time for new or
potential customers.

We don’t simply toss random tune files to our customers, as
that would be easy and fast; therefore, we regretfully don’t provide lifetime
changes at no charge.

I trust you can appreciate that value and quality come at a
price. We appreciate our customers, and I trust they appreciate us equally.

Does Ezlynk "Lifetime Support" entitle me to lifetime revisions at no charge?

Lifetime is only lifetime EZLYNK LINK/Cloud access. It has nothing to do with tuning companies. A lot of people are misinformed on this. This is due to other tuning companies misinforming the public with "Lifetime SUPPORT PACKS". The cost for this goes directly to EZLYNK to VIN license your truck and your membership to hold your tuning in the cloud service. It also allows you to remain connected to your tuning company to have the ability to send and receive tuning, Datalogs. Essentially you buy the cloud service and link for the "lifetime of the vehicle".

What platform should I choose?

EFI Live: Requires a windows PC
to transfer your file, best data logging capability. Our best seller.

EZ Lynk: Is cloud based and
required a phone or tablet to do the tuning. It’s also capable of doing trans
quick relearn and change your speedometer for larger tires. EZ Lynk requires cloud access which comes at a cost with two options (4-week access or Lifetime access)

MM3: Is a monitor as well as
your tuning device. You can switch your tune power level without a physical
switch added. Can also change speedometer for larger tires

Why haven't I received my tune file yet?

EZ Lynk AutoAgent: Kindly inform us when you've connected your truck to our EZ Lynk and give 24-48 business hours for your file to become available.

EFI Live AutoCal: Please send us the serial number located on the back of your device, and allow 24-48 business hours for us to prepare and send you your link code and tune file.

Do I need trans tuning for my stock 68RFE transmission?

We recommend every truck to have trans tuning. The 68RFE has horrible shift points from the factory causing Lugging issues in 5th and 6th gear. Our trans tuning solves these issues for lugging while also adding extra pressure on the clutch packs. The stock VB can handle 180PSI to enhance clamping capacity on the clutch packs. This aids for longevity and reliability paired with engine tuning

68RFE - Part Lock Shifts (OEM) vs Locked Shifts

We have the capability to keep OEM Part lock TC behaviors or upgrade them to Locked Shifts to remove the TC "flare" feel during the shifts.

Locked Shifts in Detail, What is Locked Shifts? The 68RFE has been a very delicate transmission in Chryslers eyes. In order to keep it jello, Chrysler decided to "partially lock" the Torque Converter DURING the shifting event. This takes strain off the clutches inside your transmission and really cushions the shifts for the hard parts. In doing so, some may notice a rise in RPM during the shift. - Almost like a slip/flare feel. This is the TCM going into a partial lock up state to jello the shift, it also comes really apparent on worn transmissions with slow to bleed off pumps. 2013-18 trucks are really bad at feeling this effect. In order to solve this annoying rise in rpm, we use Locked Shifts. The earlier 07-12 trucks were "tighter" for the Partial lockup, meaning locked shifts are not really required as they feel OK. 2019+ trucks, Chrysler made the partial lock up tighter like the 07-12 trucks again.

Another reason to keep partial lockup is if you Tow Heavy or plan to run high HP tuning with a stock transmission. This will allow smooth shifting and allow the transmission to live a longer. Under 120HP, We recommend locked shifts on the 13-18 trucks. Ideally its your choice.

I want to remove my grid heater, Is your tuning capable of this?

All our tuning comes with this ready to do. Simply
unplug the Heater grid relay (Small ECM control wires on the relay) to inhibit the
p2609 code from coming on.
